Dear Families,

As we prepare to welcome our students back on Tuesday, September 8th, we would like to pass along some additional information.

Lunch Hour:
Ash Lee Jefferson will be having a zero waste lunch, where all lunch items (containers, wrappers, left over food etc.) will be returned home daily for disposal.
We will have 2 lunch hours. Our first lunch is from 11:15-12:00. Our second lunch will be from 12:05-12:50.
We will have 10 classes on each lunch hour. This will result in 5 classes inside eating in their classroom while the other 5 classes (in their cohort) are outside playing in their designated play zone. The same will apply to our second lunch hour.
Each class will have a designated lunch monitor. We will be following safe hand and desk washing routines.

Cafeteria:
Within the next couple of weeks, families will receive lunch order forms. Lunches will begin on October 5th, 2020. This year, at least for the next couple of months, orders will be done every 2 weeks. The menu will remain the same each week.
Each day, the designated lunch monitor will deliver the food to your child’s classroom. 
For September and October, we will not be selling milk or recess snacks.

Outside Play zones:
We have 5 identified play zones for our students, where they will enjoy movement breaks and their lunch hour playtime. Each class has a designated area, ensuring that cohorts remain together.
